Assistant Professor Dr. Pok Wei Fong earned her PhD. from Massey University, New Zealand.  She is a Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Accountancy and Management at the University Tunku Abdul Rahman, where she oversees the staffs’ research and development activities and quality improvement of programmes in postgraduate level. 

She serves as reviewer for several academic journals and member of editorial board.  Her research is published in journals such as Global Journal of Business and Social Science Review, Global Academy Training and Research, and The Electronic Journal of e-Learning.

As a consultant, she provided expert services to The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), Malaysian Furniture Council (MFC) and Malaysian Timber Industry Board (MTIB).  These cover the issues of minimum wage, human capital and productivity.  She designed a vocational programme aiming to overcome the issues of labour shortage. Her research outputs are used by these organisations to deliberate related policies with Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Ministry of Human Resource and Ministry of Commodities and Plantation Industries in Malaysia.

She also designed and conducted a series of B2B and B2C e-commerce trainings for SMEs and individual sellers in 2017 in collaboration with Federation of Chinese Associations of Malaysia.   The e-commerce training series aim to prepare the SMEs to start on-line business, as a counter measure to dropping sales in physical stores.
